Frequently asked questions
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. The image is decoded, edited and saved inside your browser tab. Nothing is sent anywhere, so it also works for ID photos and documents.
Why does my photo look sideways on a form but fine on my phone?
Phones often store a rotation flag instead of rotating the pixels, and some portals ignore it. Rotating here saves the pixels the right way up.
Is quality lost when I rotate?
JPGs are saved once more at high quality, so the loss is very small. PNG and WebP files are not degraded.
